The Band are delighted to announce that we have received our midpoint payment of £1170.80 from the 2020-2021 Co-op Local Community Fund. We have to say, this was beyond all our expectations.
Our application was for funding towards new music to give us new material to use in our programmes, especially for our local community concerts. This also stimulates and develops the band members. We will be looking to purchase some new music ready for when restrictions allow our rehearsals to resume.
The Band would like to thank The Co-op for providing the scheme as well as our local Co-op stores at High Green, Bevan Way and the Co-op Funeral Care on Bevan Way and Debbie Roberts our local member pioneer. It really does make a difference in this unprecedented time when we have seen the loss of all our income from concerts and performances in 2020. We would also like to thank all our Patrons and supporters in the local community who shop at the Co-op and nominated us as their Local Cause.
There is still time to support the band in this venture, If you don’t already have a Co-op membership card, but shop at these stores, then please register for one and support us. 2p for every £1 you spend on selected Co-op products and services automatically goes to the band’s cause.
Even though we are linked to local Co-op outlets, our supporters who live further afield can still help us. Money raised through Co-op Membership can be generated anywhere in the UK, as long as the member is buying selected products or services from the Co-op Group, and they have selected the band as their cause online using the following link https://membership.coop.co.uk/causes/53233. Our ‘Cause ID’ is 53233.
A big thank you to all for your continued support, during these challenging times, it really is appreciated.
