Using the Co-Operative Community Fund we were proud to hold our first pBuzz ‘have a go’ session on Saturday. Local primary school children came to our bandroom, learnt the basics of playing a brass instrument and played with the band on their pBuzz’s, which they got to take home with them afterwards.
The children also took part in mini workshops within the session, exploring and playing the full range of brass instruments in our band. Everyone decided on their favourite instrument, with current members of the band trying their hand at something abit different too.
The session was a great success and everyone who participated enjoyed the opportunity! It wouldn’t have been possible without the Co-Operative Community Fund and their customers!
We’d like to say a massive thank you for your continued support in fundraising and keeping us going, with the day to day running of the band and the new initiatives just like this one. It really does make a difference!
