Chapeltown Band are thrilled to announce more new signings to the team with Julie, Phil & Alex and the return of Nigel & Lauren!
In keeping with our family ethos here at CSPB, Julie Plant (pictured) joins her brother Mick in the band and has taken the Solo Horn seat! We were fortunate enough to have Julie’s help in the summer of 2020 at Cromford Steam Rally and throughout the auditions for our new Musical Director. We’re really pleased she’s back!
Bass Trombonist, Phil Gee (pictured) comes into Yorkshire banding from the Midlands. Most recently playing with Shirebrook Miners Welfare Band, he completes our Trombone section at the end of the row.
Alex Daubney has a concert band background and is now studying music at Leeds University. His expertise around the drum kit will be a great asset to the bands percussion section and we can’t wait to see more of him in the band room.
Lauren Bell and Nigel Firth are also no strangers to the band, both have been registered with the band for many years and we’re really proud to say, after the so called ‘Covid Break’, they are back! Lauren has returned to the back row team and Nigel takes on the Flugel Horn seat.
Work is fully underway on Spectrum now as the band comes together to rehearse this wonderful peice of music!
Keep your eyes peeled for more announcements soonβ¦
